About Gilgen Construction

Founded in September 2010, Gilgen Construction brings decades of experience to the commercial construction industry. Owner Alma Gilgen has been in construction for over 35 years, starting his career at just 12 years old while working for his family’s flooring business. Over the years, he mastered framing, excavation, concrete, and finish carpentry before fully transitioning to commercial construction 15 years ago—a move that ignited his passion for tenant improvements and remodels.

Based in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, Gilgen Construction specializes in tenant improvements, new construction, and remodeling old buildings. We’ve had the opportunity to work on projects for well-known brands like Chick-fil-A and Noodles & Company, bringing our expertise and craftsmanship to every job. With over 50 successful projects (and counting), our focus remains on delivering high-quality work on time, every time.

Gilgen Construction is truly a family business. Alma and his wife, Kodi, who married in 1995, are both owners, and their son, Bridger, has joined as an owner as well. Their daughter, Jaclyn, grew up learning the different trades, making construction a family tradition. Our team is built on a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.
